Lentils and rice
 
Ingredients

2 tablespoons ghee or oil
1 onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1 cup brown rice
1 cup lentils
1 1/2 tablespoons garam masala (or curry)
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Saute onion in ghee or oil until soft. Add tomato, rice, lentils, garam masala to pan. Season and saute for 5 minutes on medium heat. Add 4 cups water and simmer for 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
