Olive oil lowers bad cholesterol levels while maintaining the balance of the good cholesterol.

Take 2-3 tablespoons to promote a bowel movement.

Olive oil contains natural anti-inflammatory properties.

Select cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. This is from the first pressing of the olives, because it is less processed it contains higher levels of antioxidants.

Do not cook oil at very high temperatures to alleviate risk of free radical generation.
